Privacy policy
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data is protected in accordance with legal regulations. Personal data is only collected on our website to the extent necessary. Under no circumstances will the data collected be sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons.
Responsible party
OFFIS e.V., Escherweg 2, 26121 Oldenburg, Germany, is responsible for the data processing described here.
Collection and processing of data
Every access to one of our Internet pages and every retrieval of a file stored on the Internet pages is logged by standard web server log files. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. The information logged includes
which file was requested,
the name of the file
the date and time of the request
the amount of data transferred,
the access status (file not found, file transferred, etc.),
the type of web browser used and
the IP address of the website visitor
All of this data is stored and analysed exclusively in anonymised form. For this purpose, the IP address of the system from which the website or file was requested is suitably anonymised. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). It is therefore not possible to draw conclusions about a specific person, nor is it merged with other data.
Required cookies
Cookies are small text files that can be stored and read on your end device. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.
We do not use these necessary cookies for analysis, tracking or advertising purposes.
Some of these cookies only contain information on certain settings and are not personally identifiable. They may also be necessary to enable user guidance, security and implementation of the site.
We use these cookies on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and in the interest of optimising or enabling user guidance and adapting the presentation of our website.
You can set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our web pages may then not be displayed and some functions may no longer be technically available.
Data security
We take technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access as comprehensively as possible. We use an encryption process on our website. Your data is transmitted from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using TLS encryption. You can recognise this by the fact that the lock symbol in the status bar of your browser is closed and the address line begins with https://.
Please note that we cannot guarantee complete data security outside the aforementioned framework conditions, especially when communicating by e-mail.
Use of the data
We observe the principle of data use for specific purposes and collect, process and store your personal data only for the purposes for which you have provided it to us and for technical administration. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, unless this is necessary for the provision of the service or the fulfilment of the contract. Data will also only be transmitted to state institutions and authorities authorised to receive information within the scope of the statutory duty to provide information or if we are obliged to provide information by a court decision.
Contact form
We are looking for care organisations that would like to cooperate with the Future of Care 2.0 research cluster. We have set up a contact form for interested practice organisations. The data collected there – name and e-mail address of the contact person as well as information about the practice organisation – will only be used to get in touch with you, to provide you with further information about the research cluster, to clarify details of a possible cooperation and to select the practice organisations for participation. The processing is based on your express consent, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
For this purpose, the data will be stored on our servers and our partner Hannover Medical School (MHH), Dr Regina Schmeer, Carl-Neuberg-Str. 1, 30625 Hannover, will be granted access. The MHH will be in charge of communicating with you and managing the selection process. As part of the selection process, it will be necessary to share your data with the other partners of the Future Care 2.0 research cluster. A list of partners can be found here. An agreement on joint responsibility in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR has been concluded between the partners, which defines the obligations of the individual partners.
Integration of social media
Embedding of YouTube videos
Videos from the YouTube platform are embedded on our website. YouTube is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The videos are integrated in the form of the 2-click solution, i.e. you must first activate the video (1st click), which enables Google to store cookies on your end device before you can start the video (2nd click). When you activate the video, personal data is transferred to Google. You determine whether your data is transferred. Data may also be transferred to a third country. To find out exactly which data is collected and processed and whether the data is transferred to the USA or other third countries, please refer to the YouTube/Google privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de
Deletion of the data
The stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent to storage, if knowledge of the data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
Your rights as a user
When processing your personal data, the GDPR grants you certain rights as a website user:

You have the right to obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and, where applicable, the completion of incomplete personal data.
You also have the right to demand that personal data concerning you be deleted immediately if one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR):
You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if you have objected to the processing, for the duration of any examination.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR):
In certain cases, which are listed in detail in Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request the transmission of this data to a third party.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR):
If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f (data processing to safeguard legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of data concerning you violates data protection regulations. The right to lodge a complaint can be exercised in particular with a supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
