Nursing Innovation Centre (PIZ)
The Nursing Innovation Centre (PIZ) researches new needs-based care and assistance technologies. It analyses the needs of nursing practice and investigates innovative approaches from nursing science and new assistive technologies, taking ethical, legal and social implications into account. The technologies are tested in real-life laboratories in practical care settings and discussed with care practitioners.

University of Oldenburg
The Division of Ethics in Medicine at the University of Oldenburg engages in research and education regarding ethical questions of medicine and health care provision. Key activities are located in ethical aspects of aging and old age, in assistant technologies as well as in digitalization within the health care system.
Within the “Future of Care” cluster, the task of the Division of Ethics in Medicine is to examine and evaluate the ethical, social and legal aspects of this planning and implementation. The focus of the sub-project led by Prof. Mark Schweda is on investigating the distribution of care responsibilities in complex outpatient and inpatient care settings.
